The Emergency Department at Cabell Huntington Hospital is one of the region's most advanced emergency and trauma centers, providing 24/7 care for patients experiencing illness, injury and life-threatening emergencies.
As a verified Level II Adult and Pediatric Trauma Center, our highly skilled team of emergency physicians, nurses, trauma specialists and support staff is prepared around the clock to deliver rapid, compassionate and expert care.
Cabell Huntington Hospital is just minutes from I-64 and can be easily reached by ambulance (see Patient Transfer Center).
For critically injured or ill patients, air transport services from HealthNet Aeromedical Services and an on-site helipad allow rapid access to emergency and trauma service. Collaboration with trauma, surgical, critical care and specialty teams helps ensure timely care and treatment.
Serving patients through West Virginia, eastern Kentucky and southern Ohio, the Emergency Department features 42 treatment spaces, dedicated trauma and pediatric-friendly rooms designed to meet the needs of children requiring emergency care.
The department is supported by access to specialty services, advanced diagnostics and comprehensive inpatient resources to ensure high-quality care.
Immediate Care Center
Immediate Care is located adjacent to our triage area and open from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m., seven days a week.
